Haute Hippie Product Development/Design Internship, NY

HAUTE HIPPIE, a small yet up and coming, thriving contemporary brand based in NYC’s fashion district is seeking intelligent, detail-oriented, versatile, and dedicated Product Development/Design interns for IMMEDIATE hire. This internship is offered PAID or for SCHOOL CREDIT.

Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of garment construction
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Excel
• Fashion design and hand sewing experience
• Ability to come in for an interview
• Availability of at least 4 days a week

Expectations/Responsibilities:
• Sourcing fabrics, trims, and notions
• Visiting domestic factories/vendors
• Maintaining and updating fabric, trims, and notions libraries
• Studio maintenance and organization
• Updating flat sketches
• Hand sewing embroidery/embellishments

Job Summary: 
Winston is looking for a talented Design Intern (paid internship*) who enjoys design, coordinating, and execution. Projects will include graphic design, artwork mechanics for Client, window rollouts, production scheduling, shipping, and managing vendor database and image library.
 
Experience Requirements:
 
  • Traditional knowledge of Adobe Creative Sute - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • CAD software & 3-D rendering skills a huge plus
  • Some retail background or understanding of the retail landscape & terms (i.e. visual display, merchandising, fixturing, etc.)
  • An interest or knowledge of Style and Design.

Fashion Company Seeks Part-Time Office Assistant (NY)

Manhattan Fashion Company in the heart of the garment district seeks a part-time Office Assistant.

Duties will include data entry, filing, copying, processing receipts, taking pictures of samples, some errands and other general administrative support.

You must have a good working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word. Must be reliable and organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills and ability to proactively handle multiple responsibilities are also necessary.

This is a great opportunity for a college student or recent grad who wants to get their foot in the door of the fashion world.

THIS IS A PART-TIME 15 HOUR PER WEEK POSITION. Hours are 10am-1pm Mon through Friday, although there is some flexibility with the schedule.

Salary $12 per hour
