Denim Intern (LA)

A premium, Made in Los Angeles denim brand is seeking interns for immediate assistant.

This is a non-paid 3-month internship (credit or non-credit is ok)

This internship will involve mainly fashion design, development, technical design and at times, fashion marketing.

We design - sample - and - produce here in L.A. and also work with various local vendors, manufacturers, fabric mills, dye houses, pattern makers, sewers, etc. It is a very fast pace environment and we're looking for a fashion savvy, sharp, enthusiastic and knowledgeable interns to assist our teams in various functions/departments. 
Because we're a small enough company, we get to train our intern one-on-one and mentor them closely. Interns will get to wear many hats and will take on real responsibilities in the design process.- hands on experience in sampling, production, trim/fabric sourcing, and learn about the dying/washing process.
- work directly with our designers where you'll be mentored one-on-one and learn directly from the pros. 
- learn how to market in the fashion industry, get involved with promoting new lines/labels, online marketing efforts, trunk show promotions, fashion show/event promotions.
- we also have our own work studio where you will get exposed to industry sewing, pattern making, grading, etc.
- get involved in fashion photo shoots, both in-house and on location where you'll assist our team and photographers behind the scene.

Production Intern for Startup Textile Studio (NY)


A cutting edge textile studio in Chelsea is currently seeking production interns to assist with the photographing of our vintage archive. Those with an interest in fine-art photography or textiles are preferred, though anyone interested in trying something new are also welcome to apply. A basic understanding of light-retouching in photoshop is preferred, though we are willing to train candidates in basic lighting and photographic processes. 

This is a non-paid internship with a minimum commitment of 2 days a week required, though hours are flexible and we may be expanding our production hours to weekends for those who have prior commitments during the week. 

This is not a creative position, but candidates will learn a great deal about textiles, textile history, as well as photography and basic photoshop skills. FASHION PRODUCTION INTERN NEEDED (New York)

International fashion company seeking driven and ambitious intern. This is a hands-on internship with the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT. We work with some of the top design houses (ODLR, Manolo Blahnik, etc.) and also produce an in-house RTW apparel and accessories line. We depend on our interns to help us manage a heavy workload.

You will be:
- Sending materials to our factories and maintaining detailed records
- Sourcing materials throughout the garment district 
- Organizing swatches and swatch returns
- Helping staff maintain order in a fast-paced environment
- Responding flexibly to various daily challenges

Requirements: 
- An interest in the production side of the fashion industry
- Microsoft Office competency
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Sharp and quick learner
- Sewing skills a plus but not required

Nanette Lepore Production Intern (New York)


Production Intern
•Helping receive/check in trim shipments and
prepare the trims for the factories
•Assisting in sorting trims when there are damages or dye lots
•Assisting cut-ticket person in swatch tickets, and writing POS.
•Checking and pulling orders in warehouse during shipping.
•Entering receipts into the computer system after the factories ship,
•Checking the garments in the factories right before they are shipped for
hanger/poly bag/label placement
•Occasionally checking domestic/import/sweater garments for quality issues that arise either in the factories or once the garments arrive in the warehouse.
