IGIGI, www.igigi.com, plus size women's premiere brand that fulfills the fashion fantasy of curvaceous and voluptuous women with smart, stylish and sophisticated collections in sizes 12-32.

We are publicized with several different medias involving inspiring celebrities like Nikki Blonsky, Jill Scott, Monique and other icons that wear our designs on the red carpet; MTV, and coverage in publications such as Oprah Magazine, Glamour, Figure Magazine, WWD, Apparel News, and Essence.

About the Marketing Internship Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Marketing Intern with a “can-do” attitude to assist the Marketing Department with its daily activities.

The right person will be smart, talented, dedicated, and be fashionably up-to-date with the newest trends, different medias, and fashion-related news. Knowledge of the plus size industry is helpful but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Marketing research
• Assisting with PR development
• Contacting fashion editors, bloggers, and different medias
• Manage, update, and create media contacts
• Pitch in on marketing ideas and strategy
• Provide overall support to Marketing Department

Internship Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office and Outlook
• Excellent project management and time management skills
• Extremely positive attitude and high energy level
• Self motivated with excellent initiative and follow-through with minimal supervision
• Professional, mature, detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
• Possess a “can-do” attitude and a sense of dedication for the company

This is an unpaid, marketing internship opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable experience in the fashion industry. Ideally, this is perfect for a student or a recent graduate. Schedule is flexible but will generally be about 15-30 hours/week. Opportunity for employment may be determined upon performance of the right individual.
