Ology.com Internship (Midtown)

Ology.com - a fast growing social network is seeking fashion interns to grow its presence in the fashion world. The interns will be working with and recruiting up and coming fashion designers as well as working with established brands. They will be heavily involved in leveraging social media and marketing to promote the new Ology Fashion channel. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the Ology founders, marketing and product heads. Ology is hiring full-time marketing managers for their Fashion channel. The most qualified and most successful interns will be the in an ideal position to become full-time employees. 


Office hours are 10am-5:30pm Monday through Friday; interns may come in 3-5 days a week. This is a 3-month unpaid internship that can turn into a part-time or full-time position for the right candidate. All interns will be selected by May 1st. 


Duties include:
1. Regular blog posts in fashion areas to attract new members. 
2. Contacting fashion bloggers to recruit them to create new ologies that will drive traffic back to their sites. 
3. Brainstorming and executing online and offline marketing strategies
4. Weekly meetings updating your progress 
5. Outreach for guest designers, retailers, and key strategic partnerships. 


Qualifications:
1. Experience using various social media websites
2. Blogging experience strongly preferred
3. Creative, out-of-the box thinker
4. Strong analytical and writing skills
5. Ability to work independently and proactively
6. Team player
7. Outgoing, social, and ambitious
8. Previous intern, study, or work experience in marketing a plus
9. Familiarity with site traffic tools (google analytics, mixpanel, sitemeter) a plus
10. Must currently be a college student or recent grad.

She has had huge success as a stylist, fashion editor and creative director in her own right working with top photographers, models and magazines and leaving her stamp on everything she does. Katharine Polk is also passionate about her role as a spokesperson for Designers Against Aids, as well as contributing fashion editor for Fiasco magazine.

Katharine Polk is looking for a few Design/Styling interns. The intern will start on December 12th for a week, and return on January 3.
