HGTV Magazine Style/Home Internship (NY)


HGTV Magazine is looking for Style/Home Interns for the Summer. This is a great opportunity for a superstar to work with a small team of editors. We need someone who is curious about home products, magazines and who loves to shop.
The Style/Home Intern will be assisting the Market and Style Editors in finding the latest and greatest products out there-beautiful pillows, colorful kitchen gadgets etc. Ideal candidate must be well organized and have a roll up yoursleeves attitude. Daily responsibilities include: coordinating shipping andmaintaining prop closet and researching trends. This isn’t a writing job.
Candidate should be available minimum 2 full days per week (but we’d love5!). You MUST receive college credit for this internship.

Socialbliss Fashion Marketing/Blogger Ambassador Internship (Remote)

Do you love fashion and beauty? Do you spend your free time browsing the internet for the latest styles and beauty how-tos?

Socialbliss, (http://www.socialbliss.com) is seeking socially engaged ambassadors to be a part of a fashion marketing and blogger program. This position will provide invaluable experience in web social marketing and online blogging - two of the fastest growing skill segments in today's workforce. You will learn how to build a presecene in the Social Web. This is an unpaid position but can potentially turn into a paid part time contract ($10/hr) depending on how well the ambassador is engaged and works with the team. Academic credit available for students.

You have an eye for fashion. You're a trendsetter. And you're a whiz at Photoshop.

You're ambitious, smart and anal as hell. You're efficient and organized. You're not afraid to give your opinion. You always want to get your hands dirty. 

THE ROLE:
Join an early stage, rapidly growing fashion startup selling REAL STUFF that users happily PAY FOR. We're looking for someone who will eat operations for lunch and ask for more.  

You'll whip our inventory into shape, then tell us what we're doing is stupid and lay out how we can do it better. You'll write blog posts, provide customer support, measure clothes and pack boxes. You'll do whatever it takes to keep the wheels moving, because that's what we all do and that's what makes startups awesome.

Most importantly, you'll learn how to create order out of chaos, how to hold things together with paper clips and chewing gum and other real-world skills for startups that you won't learn in a classroom (and you will be rewarded with a stipend and unlimited MetroCard and never go hungry as long as you're with us).

QUALIFICATIONS: 
-- College degree and relevant work experience preferred
-- Must be SUPER DUPER DUPER detail-oriented!!! 
-- Must be willing to do manual labor (able to lift 50 lbs)
-- Must be able to do data entry
-- Must be tech-savvy and have Excel and PC proficiency  
-- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
-- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills
-- Able to take direction and criticism
-- Overall positive and can-do attitude

Country Living’s Style & Market Department is looking for interns for the
Spring semester. Interns will assist our department—covering all
lifestyles categories including fashion, home, beauty and entertaining.


Interns must be organized, responsible, and able to multitask. Interest in
interior design a plus. 


Responsibilities:

•Contacting vendors for product samples
•Organizing products for reviews with editors
•Updating Excel spreadsheets for various stories
•Managing in/out flow of products in closet
•Preparing and packing for photo shoots
