Fashion Intern for Clothing Line (LA)


Art-driven, Los Angeles-based clothing line, Blood is the New Black (www.bloodisthenewblack.com) is seeking interns for the summer, available to start immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity to get an inside look at how the fashion industry works! Our ideal candidate will be organized, on-time, have an ability to multi-task and a great attitude.

    Christian beauty/fashion blogger (Worldwide)

    A new lifestyle website for Christian teens (12 - 18) needs an experienced beauty blogger with a fresh, unique and entertaining voice. Our website is all about guiding teen girls to their best selves as proud Christians, embracing their real beauty and examining/critiquing media for appropriate/inappropriate messaging. Since our launch earlier this year, we've been growing in leaps and bounds. We need a blogger who know how to engage with readers - our most popular articles get over 100 comments! Our bloggers start the conversation with their writing and interact with readers, so you should be comfortable/have experience dialoging with the readership. 

    What we need:

    Beauty/fashion blogger - We're looking for someone who has insider knowledge about the beauty industry as well as fashion - perhaps you are or were a former model or makeup artist - and have advice and tutorials for young Christian teens who are trying to keep it modest but definitely stylish, affordable and healthy. If you are local to Los Angeles that's a big plus, but if not, that's okay. 

    Your experience:

    Familiarity with Wordpress
    Web writing experience, including SEO
    Ability to upload images and videos
    An eye for timely, exciting content 
    Ability to keep to strict deadlines
    Ability to take in editors' notes and turn around content in a flash
    Ability to speak to a Christian teen audience

    Intern at a high-end online boutique in the heart of LA's Fashion District. You will learn a lot about the online fashion industry quickly. Get an insider's look at what designers, buyers and anyone in between does.

    The Art Department of the SF Bay Guardian is looking for a motivated, self-starting intern. The position will offer the opportunity to learn about the visual and creative side of making a newspaper.

    What we offer
    The internship will offer the opportunity to learn about photography, web/multimedia design, and newspaper production. The intern will be trained in basic print design, shooting editorial photos, prepping images for the web, and creating multimedia content for the web.

    What we expect
    The Art/Multimedia Intern must be available 2 business days per week (Tuesdays as well as either Thursdays or Fridays) and the internship lasts from late May to mid-September.
