Freelance, Pay per Placement Fashion PR (NY)

***Please read carefully and do not respond if you do not accept or believe in pay per placement. We do not pay retainer fees. At all.***

Accessories designer seeking freelance pay placement PR for pitching to national print media only. Women's fashion magazines such as Lucky, People StyleWatch, etc.

We do our own social media. This has nothing to do with that.

Looking for a self-starter in fashion PR with solid contacts at national style/fashion magazines. This is for someone who knows how to pitch well and hustle to secure placement. You will be pitching our small leather good products to magazine editors.

You need to work swiftly and have a good work ethic. Someone who understands what a "Midwestern" work ethic is all about. Also need to know how to pitch well via e-mail and formulate strong, but brief pitches. (There is a reason Twitter is 140 characters.) You cannot be afraid of the telephone. Sometimes these pitches need to be followed up with a good old-fashioned phone call. (Imagine that!)

This is ideal for someone who already has a job in fashion PR. Our products small leather goods.

- As previously mentioned must have current, solid contacts at national style/fashion magazines.
- Must know how to effectively pitch our products for editorial placement. Pitch via e-mail, follow-up e-mail and also phone call if necessary. Our line sheet is in PDF format.
- Must have good writing and communication skills.
- Must have positive attitude and be as passionate about our products as we are.
- Candidate must not easily become flustered and have strong organization skills.

****What I do NOT need****
- Internal audits.
- Consulting.
- Media "training."
- Pitching to bloggers or any sort of "social media" training.

Your task is simply to pitch a sampling of our leather goods to print editors for product placement. This is why you need solid contacts. (Not simply e-mail addresses. We already have those.)

Please submit previous print placements and any sort of pitches you have recently worked on.

Again: This is freelance, pay per placement only. No monthly retainer.

Work Environment:

Work from home or your own office. Telecommute.
