American Girl NY- Seasonal Stock and Receiving Associates (NY)

American Girl Place, located on Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan, is the award-winning retail and entertainment destination (a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel, Inc.). We sell books, dolls, and other merchandise and provide a range of inspiring, fun experiences for girls ages 3-12, including a Café, Doll Hair Salon and Photo Studio.

We currently have part-time seasonal openings for Stock and Receiving.

We're looking for dynamic individuals who have the interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Process incoming stock shipments in a safe and orderly fashion. Maintain stockroom standards for merchandise placement, cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain stock on the retail sales floor. Monitor stock levels on an on-going basis and fill in as necessary.
• Assist in the assessment of stock levels and needs. Process special requests for additional stock as communicated by retail partners.
• Assist in the general execution of the retail and restaurant business. Perform special projects as requested.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, retail or warehouse stock handling is preferred.
• Strength, mobility and dexterity needed. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., reach, climb, and pull merchandise from various heights and locations in the stockroom and move it to the appropriate position.

You must be willing to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; including evenings, and holidays.
