Marketing Inter for Non-profit

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation is looking for several interns to assist with all marketing aspects of this foundation. We have many events and programs that require a team of creative and motivated individuals to raise money for our schools. We are looking for several interns to do the PR, Marketing, and Administrative work for this prestigeous non-profit.

Our Development Intern and PR and Marketing Intern will assist with a variety of fundraising and public relations activities. The internships are 3 or 6 months long, with a minimum of 8-10 hours/week. The Executive Director for this foundation is a fabulous mentor and her interns come back, stay and truly enjoy the interaction they have with her. Whoever is chosen to work with her is extraordinarily lucky and will remember this experience forever. This internship is a great resume builder!

Position Responsibilities (Development Intern):

• Write in-kind donation request letters
• Research potential donors and sponsors
• Update Donor database records
• File donation reports
• Assist with on and off-site special events

Position Responsibilities (PR Intern):

• Writing press releases, public service announcements, calendar listings, and feature articles about all foundation events
• Updating events calendars in local publications and in major periodicals
• Updating Bay Area event websites
• Assembling a publicity portfolio of ads, articles, and listings
• Creating a media planning calendar.

Position Responsibilities (Marketing Intern):

* Create a marketing plan for solar partnership and read-a-thon
* Create marketing materials for all events
* Work with campus reps to launch and promote events
* Work with Project Manager to track event progress


Qualifications
• Have an interest in fundraising and/or public relations, and non-profit organizations
• Be a junior or senior at a four-year college/university, or recent college graduate
• Have excellent writing and communication skills
• Be proficient in Word, Excel, Internet
• Be organized and efficient
• MUST be able to work independently under direct supervision
