Soft Clothing for All Children Marketing and Design Internship (Bushwick)

Soft Clothing for All Children, a rapidly growing children's clothing brand based in Bushwick, Brooklyn is seeking a dynamic, proactive and resourceful marketing, design or merchandising student to join our studio as an intern. We are a new brand, geared towards children with sensory disorders (Autism, Aspergers, ADHD and more), and use unique design principles in the manufacturing of our clothing line, such as flat seaming, digital printing, encased elastic, bio washed cottons and more.

This individual will join a small business in it's early stages, and receive hands-on experience in an busy entrepreneurial and small business environment. We have a very relaxed work environment and are located in a great neighborhood for the arts and small business ventures.

The basic responsibilities would be to help multi-task day to day duties in several different departments. Tasks may include trend forecasting, sourcing materials for development, trade show assistance/preparation/setup, marketing and public relations efforts, sales support, assisting on photo shoots and with styling, aiding customer service and helping in basic elements of graphic and some fashion design. Additionally, administrative and project based assignments will be given upon receiving school credit. The position of an intern at our company is a versatile one and changes from day to day. We are a small business--and in a small business you need to know how to do a little of everything--ranging from very creative, to very clerical.

We are not currently hiring, but a successful intern would be at the top of the pile when new positions open up and are created in the next 6-12 months.

The internship unpaid.
