Growing, dynamic New York-based Public Relations, Event Production and Marketing firm seeks an intern to work on teams serving fashion, lifestyle and consumer brands. The firm specializes in marketing and public relations strategies across fashion, lifestyle, media and entertainment sectors, and is quickly expanding into other categories.

We are seeking an intern who can commit to at least two or three days a week with some flexibility in dates. The Intern will gain experience working for a public relations/marketing strategy company through a variety of ways:

This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of public relations and gain much needed hands-on experience with fashion, entertainment and lifestyle clients. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, personable, organized, and professional. This is a non-paid position, which requires a laptop. Our firm will provide city transportation (metro card)

INTERN DUTIES AND TASKS:
-Monitor, clip and scan essential client press
-Assist with client press reporting
-Research, compile press kits & build media lists
- Assist at various client events our firm has produced numerous celebrity events and is currently supporting the Public Relations for a Grammy winning artist.
-Assist in creating gift bags, supporting events
-Support administratively as needed, including running errands

INTERN REQUIREMENT:
-Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Photoshop
-Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing, and PR majors preferred
-Laptop
-Minimum commitment of 2 or 3 days/week from 9:00am-5:00pm
-Resume with Cover Letter
-Please note: Attire is very casual in our office

Ideally Interns should be able to receive college credit or provide a letter from an accredited university explaining how this internship applies to their academic/professional track.
