Brand Communications and PR Manager for Kiki de Montparnasse (NYC)

Kiki de Montparnasse, the luxury fashion brand that celebrates intimacy and inspires the romantic imagination, is looking for a motivated and passionate individual for the Brand Communications and PR Manager position.


Sr. Brand Communications & PR Manager
Reports to: President, Kiki de Montparnasse

Areas of Responsibility:

• Salons and Events


Brand Communications
• Create and develop Brand Communications, including brand direction and copy for full range of internal and external tools including:
o Marketing: press kit, press releases, e-mail blasts, catalog, brand concept kit, look book, store signage, e-mail blasts product descriptions, guides, collateral, etc.
o Salons & Events: invitations, evites, signs, etc.
o Packaging: product descriptions, copy, etc.
o Corporate: stationery, handouts, signage, manuals, etc.
• Manage online branding through image selection and copy writing for all e-commerce outlets
• Manage post-production materials for web shoots through image selection for web and look book
• Support company partnerships by providing communication tools and materials

PR
• Manage PR strategy, including editorial press & presence and media plan for feature and priority placement, publishing a weekly and monthly report to executive team
• Act as lead decision maker on prioritization and selection of editorial opportunities and press channels
• Manage appropriate partnerships for editorial press & presence
• Manage communication of all PR initiative and strategy including press and editorial presence, celebrity support as well as networking endeavors.
• Focus localized PR efforts based on geographical location, customer base and priority publications
• Create and prioritize pitch stories related to brand, experience, products, clientele and special events, for priority placement in select publications
• Maintain “VIP” database, including all industry, high profile and celebrity Kiki lovers, both spenders and non-spenders
• Plan, coordinate and manage press appointments and events to launch new collections and products to select editor base, in line with seasonal news and fashion weeks
• Manage internal communication and recaps of “best of” press, as well as ongoing weekly PR and press updates, including editorial, web and press channels
• Create a strategic and consistent communication/gifting plan to build and maintain strong relationships with our “VIP” client and partnership base
• Create and maintain press & presence internal communication tools
• Manage and maintain the Press archive, both sample, book and digital archive
• Manage and maintain online brand image through maintenance of press, presence and salons & events
• Manage and execute communication of potential opportunities and feedback related to off-site networking
• Manage creative and fashion direction for all on and off site salons and events, fashion shows, photo shots and partnerships to ensure appropriate communication of brand image and language
• Support and execute company shoots related to look book, web and fashion shows to ensure appropriate brand alignment
• Manage special client and celebrity needs, including communication line, environment control and special service needs
• Create and develop media plan for feature & priority placement
• Manage and maintain the PR showroom set-up and maintenance
• Manage the PR sample line, ensuring inventory controls and check in/out logs are accurate and consistently maintained
• Maintain brand visibility and image through networking off-site
• Manage the PR budget

Partnerships & Promotions
• Develop partnerships & promotions to connect Kiki with like-minded talent and brands for strategic alignment, and to further brand reach and sales
• Strategize and develop partnerships with key brands to support event needs and sponsorship opportunities that are aligned with brand image
• Prioritize partnership opportunities that drive traffic and increase sales for the retail boutiques and online business
• Create and propose outreach initiatives for potential partnerships and press coverage across media platforms
• Maintain Partnerships database, as well as outreach & retention strategy
• Ensure brand alignment is strategic and supports a high return on investment

Salons and Events
• Lead and manage all Company Events and Salons, including in both events hosted in room, suite and in clients’ homes, as well as events hosted at the retail boutiques, wholesale accounts and with select partners
• Act as corporate contact and liaison for all Salons and Events, including selling, brand, service and partnership events
• Manage the recruitment of talent and hosts for Kiki Salons
• Manage the orchestration of Events and Salons, including the set-up, coordination and implementation, for both on-and-off site Salons
• Work closely with talent and hosts to streamline content to be stimulating, cultural, interactive and on-brand
• Manage the sponsorships and partnerships related to all food, beverage and décor
• Work closely with Corporate & Retail Teams to execute Salons, including staffing, presentation and team-focused workflow
• Manage the Events and Salons budget and corporate calendar
• Manage the Events and Salons RSVP & Database
• Ensure Events and Salons represent the brand and are strategic in focus
• Lead Salon presentations and set-ups
• Maintain a digital archive for all Salons, including pictures and event hindsight, and provide weekly reports to executive team

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• A minimum of five years of experience in a senior-level luxury marketing and PR position
• A passion for luxury intimacy apparel and products is a plus!
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated attitude towards work
• Team-oriented, dynamic and demonstrates a positive attitude
• High-level experience in strategic planning and execution
• High-level experience in marketing strategies and strong relationship building and maintenance
• High-level experience in PR positioning, pitch stories and copy writing
• Experience in event production
• Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
• Knowledge of managing strategic goals and performance expectations
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
