Multidisciplinary Intern (South SF)

Job Description:
Multidisciplinary Intern is a six month paid internship position to support innovation program at world-class new media research and development facility maintained by one of Europe's leading communications providers.

As part of the Knowledge Transfer team at Orange Labs San Francisco, you will be involved in a variety of innovation projects in different capacities, ranging from support roles to generating assets including video production, graphic design, writing/editing, to event production. Interest in technology is a must for this position. A keen graphic design sense is also essential. Digital graphics production experience is a plus. Task load includes finding stock illustrations, clearances, and layouts. The position entails capturing and editing video of internal and external events. Your writing skills and editorial eye will be utilized in the production of weekly publications.

You will help establish a culture of innovation within the lab by working with a multidisciplinary team responsible for conceptualization, execution, and administration of ideation initiatives, including evangelization of the initiative and community management. You will also be involved in event production. This includes coordinating events, drafting invitations, managing guest lists, searching for venues, providing input on event topics, and dealing with vendors, as necessary. The Knowledge Transfer team is a highly agile and flexible group. As a member of the team, you will be expected to deal effectively with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology or other related disciplines
• Degree must not have been received for more than one year from the date of graduation to be eligible for the intern position
• Previous experience with event production
• Knowledge of HTML and Photoshop is a plus
• Excellent writing skills
• Some graphic design experience
• A working knowledge of Web2.0 collaboration technologies and processes
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
