Company Description: We are a fashion accessories company with a focus on cold weather and transitional or lightweight woven scarves. Our product line includes leather and suede gloves, winter knits: scarves, hats, gloves, custom printed and dyed scarves and wraps and SOME summer beach type bags. We do a large women’s collection and a smaller children’s collection. Our products are sold world wide at boutiques and we handle a large number of private labels accounts.
Location: Our corporate headquarters is located in FARMINGDALE, Long Island. And some days MAY be spent at our showroom on 5th Ave in Manhattan.
Job Description: This is an internship for an already graduated or close to graduating FASHION student. We will be needing you 2-3 days a week and are willing to set a schedule for you but it will be helpful if you have some room to “go with the flow” in terms of rearranging days occasionally. Your duties will include: keeping track of samples and color cards, some secretarial work in email responses, photographing line, trend research, lookbook set up, helping designer with tech packs and CAD work, working with owner and head designer on designing current line.
Qualifications:
1. Computer skills: MAC proficient, Adobe Photo and Illustrator, Excel, Word
2. Photography Skills: not just ability to take a picture but ability to set up a shot
3. Color Sense
4. Understanding of Accessories Market and Desire to work in this area of design
5. Interpersonal Skills and good verbal communication
6. Well Organized
7. Display (retail or trade show)
8. Sales ( any experience)
