NEEDED: Motivated Salesperson for Advertising/Marketing Company

The job: Helping local business owners take advantage of our proven advertising system.

Zipper Pack is a monthly publication focusing on local ads for local people (i.e. our competitors are Valpak and Clipper Magazine). As a business entering the California market, we are seeking a strong and dynamic sales team to market and sell advertising space to local Los Angeles retailers/businesses/professional companies.

The Salesperson will be assigned one neighborhood of approximately 150 retailers and business storefronts. The Salesperson will market Zipper Pack at selected appointments made for him/her by the head office and sell advertising space. At the completion of the first neighborhood, the Salesperson will proceed to the next neighborhood.

Must have outside sales experience, preferably, but not required, with B2B background. We invite an ambitious, energetic, and results-oriented sales representative to launch an exciting career with Zipper Pack.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
-generate sales from appointments set by the head office
-generate and qualify leads
-develop client referrals
-make sales calls to new and existing clients
-make presentations of company products
-respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
-ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
-follow up on sales activity
-monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management

Education and Experience:
-knowledge of principles and practices of sales, customer service and basic business principles
-experience in sales
-experience in making presentations
-proven ability to achieve sales targets

Base salary with quotas:
Year 1: $41,100
Year 2: $91,500
Year 3: $131,100
