Mayer, a contemporary women’s fashion company, is seeking interns interested in assisting all aspects of the design process. Mayer is a very hands-on operation and interns will experience what it is like to be part of an in-house design team. Interns will learn about all facets of the business including designing and production. The work environment is fun and exciting and we are looking for someone who is organized and detail oriented with a sense of humor, good taste, and a strong work ethic.
This internship is unpaid, yet we provide lunch for the day and we will also sign off on school credit if needed.
Qualified candidates must:
-Contribute design ideas.
-Be able to sketch and help produce line sheets.
-Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical packages and seasonal design books.
-Be willing to pick up and drop off samples around the city, source fabric and trims, organize and archive.
