Paid Graphic Design Internship at Web Startup (San Francisco : SOMA / South Beach)

Martini Media is looking for a smart, motivated, organized recent graduate or intern to help assist with the development of our rapidly-growing network. You can find us on the web at http://www.martinimedianetwork.com

We’re a new venture-funded startup focused on building a new model for entertainment, community, and data. We’re trying to take on how people entertain themselves, both on and offline, and improve it tenfold. Sound ambitious? It is, but we have a plan for how we’re going to start small and start picking away, day by day. By the way, that plan involves working with some of the coolest hobbies known to humankind, from Day 1. Martini Media is looking to target the high-net-worth consumer by bringing together interesting content and community from chosen publishers in lifestyle sites for private pilots, equestrians, golfers, sailors, cigar aficionados, wine enthusiasts, and classic car lovers, among others.

We need someone to help develop & improve our visual impact. In our luxury market, image matters and details are key. We need someone with a keen eye for style, but who can also help us craft some innovative new looks. You'll be working on everything from microsites for polo or classic car events to pitch decks for luxury advertisers such as BMW, Rolex, and Ritz-Carlton. You will also be helping with our owned & operated sites & with our partners to help refine their own designs.

Due to our company’s size and flexibility, you’ll be getting unique exposure to every aspect of the company, including development, marketing, sales, management, and more.

This job is ideal for a current design student. Though it requires on-site work, we are flexible with scheduling. It is a part-time position.

The details (what we’ll be looking for):
* Well-skilled in Visual Design, Photoshop, Flash, and/or HTML/CSS
* Strong understanding of visual trends on the web
* Appreciation of the challenge of innovating and crafting new visual styles to distinguish campaigns online, often within a constrictive set of brand guidelines
* Bold concepts that play well to the luxury market
* Understanding or willingness to learn sufficient HTML & CSS to build what you craft
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organization & follow-up skills – we can’t let anything fall through the cracks
* Desire to work hand-in-hand with development, product, community & marketing experts on the team
* Previous start up experience a serious plus
* Interest in flight, riding, wine, sailing, cigars, cars, or classical music is appreciated
