Assistant Designer and Production Assistant Internship positions currently available at Kaya Couture in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. Responsibilities include: assisting the production manager in the cutting room, shipping, steaming, assembling swatch cards and press kits, buying downtown, being the liaison between the design studio and the production facility, data entry, office duties and various pre/post production assignments.
The hours are flexible. Internships at Kaya Couture total 120 hours and can be completed as quickly as 3 weeks or as long as 3 months, depending how many hours per week you work. For example, 12 hours per week completes an internship in 9 weeks, or 40 hours per week completes an internship in 3 weeks.
The internship can be used for school credit or for resume experience, and is an excellent way to gain an excellent referral from a designer within your industry.
