Production Intern for Startup Textile Studio (NY)

A cutting edge textile studio in Chelsea is currently seeking production interns to assist with the photographing of our vintage archive. Those with an interest in fine-art photography or textiles are preferred, though anyone interested in trying something new are also welcome to apply. A basic understanding of light-retouching in photoshop is preferred, though we are willing to train candidates in basic lighting and photographic processes.

This is a non-paid internship with a minimum commitment of 2 days a week required, though hours are flexible and we may be expanding our production hours to weekends for those who have prior commitments during the week.

This is not a creative position, but candidates will learn a great deal about textiles, textile history, as well as photography and basic photoshop skills. If interested, please send your resume, availability and a brief cover letter detailing what interests you about the position and why you think you would be a great candidate for the internship. We have a relaxed working atmosphere, but work hard, and are looking for those who not only bring a decent work ethic, but a good attitude and positive energy along with them.
