Embellishment design house located in Midtown looking for interns for immediate recruitment. Must have a fashion background or a strong interest and desire to learn about the industry. This is an unpaid internship with a stipend for lunch and commute. Future possibility of a paid position on completion of internship based on assessment of performance during the internship and availability of open positions.
Requirements
- Design Education/Experience in Fashion/Textiles/Accessories
- Ability to free hand draw/sketch
- Ability and desire to sew
- Desire to create artworks, embroidery layouts
- Eagerness to learn production process
- Extremely organization and discipline
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to sourcing new materials and trims
- Willingness to help with shipping and other studio errands
- Available at least 3 days per week for a minimum of 3 months
