We are agents for several European luxury textile mills. With a small office in the heart of Midtown's garment center we supply and cater to high profile fashion designers.
We are looking for an intern to come to our midtown office 2 to 3 days a week., for several hours a day. The hours per day may vary from week to week, but will not exceed an 8 hour day.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in presenting collections to designers when needed
* Neatly maintain collections - both hanging and folded
* Deliver swatches and fabric references to designer clients
* Research new client possibilities through various websites and WWD
* Email and phone, both established and new clients, for appointments
* Maintain price lists for each collection
* Email clients when necessary
* Answer phones when necessary
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about textiles and to see the fashion industry from another side. Our past interns have come from both the design and production areas of fashion.
