This is an amazing opportunity to gain valuable hands on experience in the Public Relations field. Learn about product placement, how to create buzz, and promotions while assisting our team with their daily "to-dos".
Seeking enthusiastic, flexible, organized, dedicated, quick learners, with a "can do" attitude!
Accuracy and thoroughness are especially important.
We can provide support for school credit
Looking for minimum 2-3 days a week. Normal internship hours 10-6, half days possible if you are truly passionate & dedicated.
Responsibilities include:
o Photocopying
o Faxing
o Scanning placements and articles
o Filing
o Running errands, such as but not limited to:
Magazine store
Starbucks
Duane Reade
Post office/UPS/FEDex
Paper & art stores
o Assemble mailings
o Send packages of products to editors
o Call in messenger service
o Coordinate packages with Account Executives
o Record products send out in Weekly Update
o Prepare gift bags
o Maintain product closet, make sure it is kept neat and organized
o Receive packages
o Label products, count & maintain inventory
o Build and maintain media contact and client contact lists
o Research for account teams and clients as necessary
o Draft press releases and pitch letters
o Support account team
There are always new projects that we will need your help with such as preparing for events, assembling client packages etc.
Requirements:
Intern should be proactive, self-motivated, organized, considerate, personable, flexible and willing to learn quickly.
o Excellent communication & organizational skills
o No previous experience required
o An interest in Public Relations, beauty, fashion, trends, entertainment and pop culture is important
- Compensation: $20/full day + subway fare.
