TITLE: Production Intern
DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION
DESCRIPTION: Seeking confident, energetic interns for the summer and beyond that are eager to learn fashion production through hands on experience. The bulk of the internship is administrative and works directly with our designers and production coordinator. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend fittings and assist with various aspects of clothing design, merchandising, and sales.
Duties include:
• Researching and sourcing fabrics, trims/buttons, etc.
• Keeping stock organized
• Assisting with seasonal shipments
• Speccing garments
• Preparing cutter\’s musts and cutting tickets
• Communicating between VPL and factories
• Communicating with dyers, cutters, and various other vendors
• Maintaining quality control in garments
