Costumer Internship

RESPONSIBILITIES:The Costumer role includes researching and facilitating the manufacturing of new and replacement Entertainment costumes. This position partners with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to ensure costume quality and design is consistently maintained and coordinates fittings with Entertainment and Workroom Personnel. Daily interaction with Entertainment Show Producers, Directors, Designers, and Entertainment and Costuming Operating Managers.
NOTE:
Recruiting candidates for this internship for June 2009. Internship begins in June 2009 and ends in January 2010.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Students must receive academic credit or recognition from their respective school to be considered.
· Students must be currently enrolled full-time and in good standing.
· Eligible candidates include undergraduates (second year and above) and graduate students.
· This program is a partnership between WDW and the educational institution therefore students will be required to resume their studies upon completion of this program.
· Focus on a Costume Design or Fashion Design Curriculum
· Proven experience in the Theater, Film or Fashion Industry
· Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
· Proven strong computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
· Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated strong partnering skills
· Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including overtime
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Working to attain a degree in Costuming, Costume Design, Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Fine Arts or equivalent
· Senior Level Undergraduate or Graduate program in Costume Design Production preferred
