The opportunity…

Turner Network Sales, a division within TBS, Inc., is responsible for the distribution of all the Turner Networks (CNN, TBS, TNT, CNN Headline News, Turner Classic Movies, etc.). We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant to join our satellite San Francisco office.

The major responsibilities…

• Works closely with TNS account representatives to provide daily sales, marketing, and administrative support
• Works closely with cable affiliates in providing programming, marketing information, and support materials as requested
• Works closely with cable affiliates in maintaining current information in our database
• Maintains subscriber counts, carriage levels, projections, launches of networks, contact names, addresses, etc.
• Works with Distribution Technology on any blackout issues for Major League Baseball
• Works with account representatives on marketing initiatives
• Creates lists, labels, and letters for marketing mailings and promotions
• Coordinates and prepares for marketing trainings, meetings, and special events

The minimum qualifications…

• Must be detail-oriented, proactive, innovative, positive, and energetic
• Must have the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects
• Must possess analytical and reasoning skills
• Must have excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, type 45-wpm, and have a college degree (or equivalent experience)
• Applicants with previous internships or cable industry experience desirable
