PR Internship for SF Fashion studio (mission district)

Scandinavian designer is offering an internship primarily in the PR department.
We are a fun and fabulous start up designer studio located in San Francisco. We have grown steadily the past year and are always on the outlook for new energetic fashion mavens to work with.
If you love being in the know about new products/magazines and want to be involved with the latest trends then this could be a great opportunity for you. We will give you an idea of what it takes to run your own fashion studio.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
-Research and develop profile of target audience, shops, spas and retail outlets
-Research media opportunities
-Assist in the development, presentation and pitching of story ideas
-Communicate and build relationships with editors
-Contact blogs, magazines
-Weekly meetings to discuss progress/strategy
-Share responsibility for the overall quality and success of the PR
-Research and keep updated media lists
- assist in designing email news letters

Qualities needed:
-Passionate about the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry, Great writing skills, Intuitive, Creative, Hardworking, Self-Motivated, Fun Personality and Committed to doing a Great Job!

Skills Needed:
-Preferably major in Communication studies
-Excellent writing and communication skills
-Proficient in use of the computer, especially Word, Excel and knowledge of Photoshop
-Know How to Research and Navigate the Internet
-Highly Organized
- Not afraid of making phone calls or the idea of making cold calls
-Able to Multi-task and Prioritize
-Ready to assist in the production area
