Fashion/Textile Design Studio Intern (NY)

We are a small but well-established fashion and textile design studio in the garment district seeking a smart, efficient, and self-driven studio assistant. The assistant is to perform tasks related to digital archiving; preparing samples for presentation and other day-to-day office errands.

Our company sells vintage print designs and garment pattern ideas to a wide range of designers from luxury-runway to mass market, so a general knowledge of the fashion market is necessary.

The person qualified for this position is ORGANIZED and SELF-MOTIVATED in finishing tasks in an effective and timely matter- because of the nature of this position you will be needed to assist on other tasks and projects in the studio, successful maintenance of several open projects is necessary.

Other daily tasks include:
- Studio Maintenance- organizing garments, categorizing prints, and overall cleanliness
-Social Media- This position will also have a social media aspect to it, maintenance of the company Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr- a good grasp of these sites is necessary and will be important to the position. 
-Online Sales- Maintenance of the inventory and aesthetic value of all online retail platforms- we also sell our collection on eBay, etsy, and other like websites, the intern would work with the team to decide on looks, pricing and style of these pages.

This position is part time and flexible- approximately 25-40 hours a week. Great for fashion design and art students.
Must be mac proficient and able to use the Adobe suite and Microsoft Office Programs.
