Charitable Web Start-Up Fashion Internship (SF)



Are you studying fashion merchandising and want practical experience in an exciting pre-launch charitable start-up? Charitable web-based start-up looking for outgoing, self-starter to help style and categorize teen consignment dresses for on-line flash sales. The intern will help cultivate consignment dresses for girls 13 -- 22 where a portion of the proceeds donated to charity.

Responsibilities include:
1. Process in-coming dresses
-- Enter into database
-- Recommend groupings for sale categories
-- Write-up description of each item
-- Set aside select dresses for live models
-- Suggest applicable accessories for each dress
-- Interface with consignors
2. Sales
-- Select best photographs to communicate lifestyle of each category sale
-- After each sale, process the item(s) to be shipped
-- Ensure consignor receives credit
-- Catalog donations
2. Individuals and Volunteer groups
- Identify best vehicles to bring awareness of the program
- Reach out to explain the program
- Catalog consignment dresses

Qualities and skills:
- Out-going
- Engages in charitable activities
- Organized

Skills:
- Social media platforms: Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram
- Applications: MS Office
- Photography and photo editing, PhotoShop
- Bonus skills: CSS3, HTML

Likely candidates:
- Fashion student
- Marketing student

Time allocation:
- 24 - 32 hours/week
- Length of internship: 12 - 16 weeks
