Non-profit, NON PAID internship. Come be a part of a team working for a nonprofit organization nationally recognized with "Oprah's Angel Network" award. This internship opportunity is for someone interested in learning every aspect of a retail store.
What's in it for you:
Learn the inner workings of a retail store by becoming a key player on our team. During your internship, you will be exposed to the day-to-day events of our dynamic, fast-paced industry. Business exposures include customer service, store operations, and inventory control. This internship is offered year-round.
What you have the opportunity to do:
Explore the dynamics of the retail industry in a supportive, challenging and fun setting
Learn different aspects of the retail store environment including selling and service strategies
Work closely with management, customers and associates to maximize business potential
Analyze business trends and track sales and inventory
What to bring to the internship:
Ability to promote teamwork through problem-solving
Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Ability to prioritize projects and multiple tasks to achieve productivity and business goals
Previous retail experience is a plus
Minimum of 2 days a week for a total of 120 hours. Letter of recommendation, certificate of completion and a $50.00 gift certificate to our store is presented when you have completed the program.
