Operation Manager Assistant
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE*:
-looking for strategy to let the shipment process go as smoothly as possible;
-sending out emails, making telephone calls to chase the goods and make sure everything is going according to schedule;
-getting familiar and work with the Letter of Credit (LC), negotiate about LC terms, finalize these terms on the LC (e.g. If there is a delay we have a right to demand a certain amount of money every day (like a fine) to compromise for the delay, so you will negotiate what amount we can agree on);
-looking for ways to get around late shipments;
-negotiating and agree on international rates, what are the benefits for us;
-dealing with national and international payments;
-other Transportation and Operation related activities, Strategic analysis duties and tasks that may be asked of you in relation to the business.
You will however together with your mentor establish your own goals and projects
*We are not expecting you to be able to carry out all the duties but will move candidates towards their natural ability but at the same time we are looking for candidates who have a self development orientation, who have the ability to continuously improve and learn new skills, and increase their personal capability. With management teaching, instruction, ongoing training and mentoring from the company we will maximize your experience with the company
IF YOU WILL HAVE:
• a degree in an adequate area;
• fluent English language knowledge;
• friendly relationship with MS Office programs (Word, Excell, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accounting software (QuickBooks or other) and ability to learn new software quickly;
• general understanding of international distribution / transportation / shipping;
• negotiation skills;
• excellent organization skills and ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines;
• capability of multi-tasking and dealing with more than one role at a time;
• ability to categories and record valuable information;
• a self motivated hand on proactive approach when dealing with clients and supplier;
• ability to prioritize your workload and following the company culture of going beyond what’s expected;
• capability of working individually and as part of a team;
• strategic and innovative thinking and fresh creative opinion.
