House is a boutique fashion PR firm located in Brooklyn’s hip DUMBO neighborhood, specializing in fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. We are currently seeking interns to assist in and learn about the day to day in our office, as well as have the opportunity to work directly with some of our clients in their New York offices. We specialize in product placement, events, celebrity dressing, and securing media coverage for our clients, that range from beauty e-commerce to celeb-favorite denim brands to NYC food and dining resources. The ideal candidate is educated, creative, enthusiastic, and media savvy (magazine, TV, newspaper, internet/blogs) with a true interest in the business of public relations. Interest and knowledge of social media is a huge plus. The more proactive you are the more you will get out of the experience - this is an excellent opportunity for the person who wants to get their foot in the door and learn the ropes of the PR industry.
This is an unpaid internship and/or for college credit. You will get a $10/day stipend for lunch, and all transportation on behalf of the company will be reimbursed.
REQUIREMENTS:
*Interest and knowledge of the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries
*Media savvy
*Professional Phone Manner
*Strong communication skills (writing, phone, in-person)
*PC and Mac proficient with basic programs
*Attention to detail in ALL tasks from typing to editing and other office work
*Available at least 2 days a week
