DESIGN INTERNS: Technical Flats
As a design intern assisting with technical flats you will spend most of your time sketching and rendering technical flats by hand. There are times when flats will be manipulated on the computer and you will also have opportunities to assist with sewing, draping, dying, sourcing, and flat patterning.
Other requirements include:
* organizing , cleaning and general upkeep of studio
* identification of fabric types
* attentiveness, reliability, attention to detail, follow instruction, work independently, time management, organization
* familiarity with the garment district
Minimum availability: three full weekdays/week for one season (three months)
