Fashion intern positions are available at several fashion companies. Duties vary according to the experience and skills of the intern as well as the needs of the company. Specific responsibilities could include help with research for future inspirations and designs, help with samples and some administration work. Interns must be able to work under time constraints, multi-task, and work effectively independently as well as within a team, flexibility is required especially as the team is preparing a collection.

IMPORTANT: ***A USD 200 scholarship will be awarded to students who apply to this intern abroad program by Nov. 30, 2008, are accepted and complete the program. To be eligible for the scholarship, the program must be for a minimum of 3 months anytime during 2009. Applicants should include a detailed Statement of Purpose that outlines their reasons for interning abroad and how the experience will benefit them. To be eligible for the scholarship, applications must be received by Nov 30, 2008.***

Eligibility: No prior Italian language knowledge is required. However, for interns who can speak Italian, an assessment exam will be provided to determine the appropriate placement in language classes. Interviews will be conducted after arrival in Florence.
