Technical Design Intern - Fall 2008
Urban Outfitters Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Technical Design Intern.
Objective:
To provide clerical and elementary technical support to Technicians.
Responsibilities:
-Organize and keep running inventory of technician's approval samples
-Collects samples of best/worst sellers as per velocity to keep on reference for technicians - relate blocks, and factories associated to present weekly
-Organize and file technician's paperwork
-Take garment and construction pictures from fitting for technicians
-Get market/store samples for comparison as directed
-Organize fit rooms to assure all fitting supplies are available
-Sew basic styles as directed
-Collect patterns, mockups, samples and paperwork for packages
-Perform special projects as directed by technicians
-Attend department meetings

JPG Magazine is looking for a photo/post-production intern for its art department.
JPG, a photography/lifestyle magazine, is produced entirely with content (images and articles) submitted by the online community at www.jpgmag.com. Nearly 200,000 members submit photographs and articles to various themed challenges, and the community and editorial staff work together to select the best photographs for publication.
JPG magazine is published bimonthly by 8020 Media (www.8020media.com) and reaches a large national and international audience. It is on newsstands at Borders, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, etc.
This internship position would involve photo editing and production duties for JPG Magazine, as well as for JPGmag.com.
The internship is 20-25 hrs/wk and is paid $10/hr.

Work will include shooting our incredible inventory of vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as editing photos, and assisting with shoots as necessary.
