Tilly's Assistant Buyer - Men's Accessories & Sunglasses

About the Job

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports Buyer on issues that affect the category
  • Plans, executes, reviews and reacts to trends and results
  • Completes daily operational functions including, but not limited to: purchase order entry, markdown creation, promo input, receipt management, etc
  • Coordinates with other areas (e.​g.​ Marketing, Visual, Allocation) to ensure successful execution of assortment
  • Product Development - ability to identify fashion trends

Required Skills, Attributes and Knowledge:

  • Trend and fashion awareness - understands current trend, competition and market.​ Plans executes, reviews and reacts to trends and results
  • Numerical and analytical ability
  • Communication – written and verbal
  • Interpersonal skills – ability to influence, gain consensus and support from others through collaboration – values feedback and others’ opinions
  • Ability to make informed decisions and partners where appropriate – balances statistical with intuitive
  • Professional/​business savvy - exercises good judgment
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Administrative – Prioritizes, organized, efficient, manages time and multi tasks
  • BS/​BA degree preferred
  • 2-3 years experience as an Assistant Buyer
