Dana-Maxx Internship (NY)

THE COMPANY:
Dana-Maxx, www.dana-maxx.com, is an advanced contemporary women’s ready-to-wear clothing line based in New York City.

THE BASICS:
We are looking for interns who are interested in a hands-on fashion internship. Interns should be able to begin as soon as possible. Schedule is flexible, but qualified individuals must be ale to intern at least 2-3 FULL DAYS per week (Tuesday through Thursday preferred) for a MINIMUM of 3-4 months. Please DO NOT submit your resume unless you can commit to this scheduling. This is a non-paid internship. School credit is welcome but not mandatory.

THE INTERNSHIP:
Internship responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Assist the designer directly with various daily projects
-Fabric sourcing
-Daily note taking at meetings
-Help with weekly fittings
-Assist in sample trafficking
-Assist with model castings
-Assist at photoshoots and events
-Communicate with vendors and contractors
-Organize and merchandise samples

THE INTERN:
Interns must have the following qualifications:
-Reliable
-Positive/enthusiastic
-Very organized
-Hard working
-Quick learner
-Ability to multi-task
-Strong follow-through abilities
-Familiar with New York City’s garment district is a plus
