Spring Internship- Ad Sales Research (National Geographic Channel)

External Job Description : Project(s)/Tasks:

- Updating Weekly/Quarterly Reports/Usage of research applications
- Adhocs/Responding to Ad Sales requests
- Perform competitive network analysis and rankings (maintaining competitive database)
- Retrieve Nielsen data for sales-team and members of the research department
- Propose actionable research for use in potential and existing client presentations
- Inputting programming schedules and maintaining scheduling software.

 Learning Objectives:
- The internship program offers an invaluable opportunity to work within the Media Advertising Sales environment. The applicant would work closely with department heads and sales account executives in order to understand the network’s audience and the value these media brands bring to advertisers. Ultimately, the goal of the internship is for him/her to come away with a base knowledge of the function and role of the Advertising Sales Research group.

Qualifications:
- Advertising/Marketing/Communications/Math/ Social Sciences
- Junior level or above
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong interest in television and online media
- Proven ability to work independently and within group environments
- Pays great attention to detail and utilizes analytical and critical thinking skills
