Fashion PR Intern Needed - Current Students Only (Fashion Preferred) ( (Upper West Side)

Boutique fashion pr agency on the uws specializing in womenswear and intimates is looking for an intern to devote 20 – 30 hrs per week beginning ASAP. A STRONG interest in fashion PR is a must!

*Note - looking for current students ONLY. Do not apply if you are a recent grad.

Duties include but aren’t limited to:

• Sample trafficking/maintenance
• Updating media lists/blog research
• Event Assistance
• Day-to-day office duties like the occasional errand, answering the phone, etc.
• Media pitching/twitter maintenance
• Potential to do some press release/blog writing

You are stylish, bright, outgoing, a people-person, on-the-ball, proactive, results-driven, able to take/follow direction, able to execute projects with minimal supervision, have a great speaking voice, go the “extra mile” rather than putting in minimal effort, are a quick learner, are a FAST typer and are proficient in Excel, Word (mail merge knowledge a plus!), Outlook and of course the web. You are a social media guru and live for your Twitter updates. You read WWD every day, catch up on celeb tabloids every week and the top fashion mags every month. You watch E! News, The Daily 10, Gossip Girl, The City...you get the drift.

Important! You MUST have a speedy, portable laptop to bring with you every day. PC or Mac is fine, but must be on the newer side (no slow, ancient laptops), and must have Microsoft Office installed (Word, Excel, Outlook/Entourage). If you do not fit these requirements this is not the internship for you.

Must must must have an interest in fashion & fashion PR – prior, relevant internships a plus.

I’m looking for someone to start ASAP through the end of May within the following hours:

M 11 – 6
T 10 – 4
W 11-6
Th 10-4

This internship pays a $25/day stipend, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time paid position (hourly) by end of May throughout the summer.
