Elizabeth and James Intern (NY)

Looking for enthusiastic, detailed and organized interns for Summer 2010/11 (Immediately through August 2011)
Great opportunity to work with and have hands on experience from initial design concept through to sample development.
Intern will have the chance to work with 3 different departments (fabric, product development and a new t-shirt line)

Responsibilities:
-Organizing Inspiration and design boards
-Sending fabric & trim for sourcing with different vendors
-Sending color standards to mills
-Running errands in the local market (sourcing fabric & trim, visiting factories)
-Daily clerical and administrative tasks
-Organizing Fabric and Trim books

Requirements:
-In school/ interest for fashion design or related field
-Available for 2/3 work days
-Microsoft Office knowledge (Adobe Creative Suite a plus!!)

Job Description:

Interns will be exposed to a variety of departments that each play an integral role in bringing our denim products from design concept to market. Qualifications:

- Must be serious, willing, and able to come in according to your weekly schedule.
- Great MS OFFICE skills (excel, word and outlook)

PR Internship

Top East Bay Public Relations Agency specializing in fashion, beauty and design clients is currently hiring interns.

We are looking for an intern (in or out of school is fine) who can dedicate three full days a week.

This is internship is an excellent way to learn about PR first hand and add valuable experience to your resume. Our interns have the opportunity to learn many different aspects of PR and work very closely with our team. (Our interns have gone to work in the public relations field in both San Francisco and New York City.)

Responsibilities include: maintaining the database, communication with clients and media (editors, producers, bloggers), tracking press coverage for clients, assisting with media research, mailings, working with Cision, etc.

We are looking for an intern who is detail-oriented, proficient in Word and Excel, and has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Knowledge of fashion, design/home décor and beauty media outlets (including blogs) is imperative.
