Panda Candy- Experiential Design & Event Marketing Intern (Brooklyn)

Panda Candy is an experiential design and creative consulting boutique agency. Our clients include iconic high-profile brands in the fashion, eyewear, wine & spirits categories as well as indie start-ups on the verge of explosion, and social change organizations.

We’re seeking an organized, creative and overall extraordinary intern to support all of the agency’s experiential design/marketing, creative consulting, and event production projects, as well as minor administrative duties. This person has an opportunity to become right-hand of creative director/founder, and could lead to a paid staff position. This is a very hands-on position for an ambitious individual, where you will learn 24/7, all of your efforts impact a project and eventually company’s growth. Office is currently located in Bed-Stuy (BK) but moving to downtown BK/Lower Manhattan in April.

Term: 4 to 6 months
Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Responsibilities include:
• Assisting w/ creative briefs, production documents (floorplans, design schemes)
• Assisting w/ designing presentations and putting together creative concepts for new business pitches
• Occasional attendance of networking events & client meetings
• On-site event production & management
• Assisting w/ entire event process
• Researching ideas & opportunities
• Maintaining files & keeping a handy organization system
• Compiling tear sheets post projects
• Assisting w/ budget management & keeping expenses organized
• Liaising w/ vendors & freelance staff
• Occasional errands such as office supply runs

Qualifications:
• Very detailed, communicative & punctual
• Extremely or tediously organized (no joke about tedious part)
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Email & Internet research savvy
• Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop is a plus
• Any sort of design skills (web, graphic, illustration, CAD) is a plus
• An inclination toward social networking is a plus
• PR or pitching skills is a plus
• Prior professional/work/intern experience is a definite plus
• You are naturally hip and into some kind of sub-culture(s). Maybe a music-head or up on the art-tip...or a foodie. But whatever it is you’re into you find a way to bring your interests to the table.
• Ability to travel to other cities or countries for work a plus

Compensation:
• School credit (if enrolled)
• Payment for working events, however rate will commensurate w/ experience. Raises based on growth & performance.
