About You:

Understands how social media works and how communication spreads.
Good knowledge of San Francisco Food scene 
You are an expert in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare and more
You live and breathe Social Media 
Familiar with #Hashtags on Twitter / Instagram
Sense of humor is a must
Have a current blog about your passion.
Have a presence on a few Social Media Channels
Knowledge of High End Fashion and in the know of local hip places
Previous experience in building and managing multiple Facebook & Twitter
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and Micorsoft Office
Ability to write press releases [we can teach you as well]
Strong writing skills and some basic experience with photo editing is a plus. 
Basic HTML Skills are a plus
Exceptional research, analytical and communication skills are a must
Knowledge of public relations, contacts, strategy is a plus
High level of organization and self-motivation

What You Will Do:

Create engaging content for our clients
Create and manage a Schedule of content via an Editorial Calendar
Manage Multiple Social Profiles across several Social Media Platforms

Come up with brilliant replies to comments and updates on Social Media Channels
Make 20-30 Phone Calls to prospective clients everyday
Identify and connect with key social media influencers around the Web

Stay on top of social media trends, new technologies and tools, and innovative campaigns
Be up-to-date on topical news and pop culture
Be able to meet deadlines and work in tight schedules
Be able to work independently with little guidance

Lifestyle Product Firm Graphic Design Internship (Burbank, CA)

We are a designed lifestyle product firm located in Burbank, CA looking for a motivated and energetic graphic design intern with a strong interest in the interior, fashion and web design fields. You will gain hands-on experience in product and web design, and an understanding of the online marketplace.

**A GRAPHIC DESIGN EDUCATION IS A MUST!**

Intern will support the design team with the following:
- Preparing production-ready files for web
- Assisting in the creation of digital assets for web, marketing collateral, promotional pieces and similar
- Pick up, drop off supplies and run errands as needed
- Assist in updating social media across various platforms
- Communicate with vendors and track status of pending orders
- Research and source vendors and items appropriate for projects

Modern Vintage Today Internships (Hollywood)


Modern Vintage Today (www.ilove2shopmvt.com) is on the lookout for two interns to join the family. A specialty boutique based in the Hel-Mel area of East Hollywood, MVT carries some of the city's most fashion-forward retro styles. MVT also features modern artists and designers of Los Angeles (including the store owner and manager, Mary O). In addition, MVT hosts lavish events throughout the year, produces high-end photoshoots and fashion films, and prints a monthly magazine called SAVAGE.

Both internships are unpaid but school credit can be given. There is a lot of room for growth within these roles - both could even develop into full-time paid positions with time. We will also ensure that all interns receive as many perks as possible, including networking, tutorials, career advice, store discounts (50%), event invites and an opportunity to learn more about the world of fashion in a highly creative environment!

1) Social Media Intern
- Candidate will oversee Social Media campaigns and day-to-day activities: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting.
- Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
- Become an advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
- Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
- Public relations and Marketing experience a plus

2) Store Assistant
- Should be very creative and articulate, and well versed in luxury brands, vintage and couture fashion.
- Be involved in stock control and management.
- Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
- Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
- Stocking shelves with merchandise.
- Answering queries from customers.
- Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
- Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes hovering and mopping.
- Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
- Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
- Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.
- Having a friendly and engaging personality.
- Comfortable working with members of the public.
- Should have a confident manner and be helpful and polite.
- Knowledge of inventory techniques.

    Athleta Product Development Intern (Petaluma, CA)

    The Challenge:
    Working within the Athleta Product Development Calendar and following the overriding brand strategies, support Product Development Manager to manage the development of a seasonal Athleta line that meets the needs of all channels.   Primary liaison between Design and Merchandising.

    Primary responsibilities include:
    • Ensure Filemaker data integrity: set-up and review all data relating to each style including target retail & fabrication.
    • Continually update Database as new information becomes available.
    • Ensure all pertinent information is current prior to line review and turnover meetings.
    • Copy proofing for all style detail information
    • Collaborate with product development manager to provide all style information to copy writer
    • Support PDM in creating Competitor Benchmarking sheets and ordering appropriate samples.
    • Update and reconcile all information in Filemaker with regards to Copy bullets for web and catalog.
    • Support PDM with 3rd party apparel assortment updates. Manage FM records and communicate sample due dates to 3rd party apparel vendors.
    • Maintain Timely Communication with merchandising & cross functional partners
    • Manage and Tag all incoming 3rd party apparel samples
    • Tag and organize all purchased inspiration samples
    • Prepare samples for all assortment review meetings.
    • Organizing and maintaining departmental information including: Update presentation boards in Indesign.
    • Maintain Vendor contact information for 3rd party apparel
    • General administrative duties and special projects, as determined by Product Development Manager.
     

    Qualifications



    • College Degree - BS/BA in Apparel/Fashion Merchandising
    • 0-3 years in industry experience in Misses apparel, preferably in swim and outerwear
    • Strong eye for relevant and brand appropriate product
    • Project management, analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Experience in Filemaker Database a plus
    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Indesign
    • Fitness or outdoor experience a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-through skills 
    • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
