• Working with systems of communication related to fabric/textile knowledge

• Knowledge of Excel
• Organizational skills, analytical nature, great communication skills

VOGUE Editorial Internship

VOGUE is looking for an editorial intern for the fall semester to assist market editor Jessica Sailer, ideally starting first week of December.

You must be able to work 3 days a week, for a minimum of 8:00am until 6:30pm. More days are preferred and longer hours do happen.
You must be knowledgeable in the following areas: PR firms/contacts, packing photoshoots, completing sitting sheets, getting credits, calling in samples, arranging catering/location vans for shoots, and other administrative tasks.

This is an incredibly hands-on, fast-paced internship. It requires an individual who is responsible, detail-orientated, hardworking and has a broad knowledge of the fashion industry. You MUST attend a 4-year university, have a 3.3 GPA, be able to receive credit, and have interned at a fashion magazine, pr firm or fashion stylist beforehand. The Marketing and Communications intern will support the PR, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising team in all aspects. This is a full time internship, 5 days a week starting in January 2012. This is unpaid however school credit is available.

Responsibilities may include assisting with any of the following:

Public Relations
-Assist with tracking all editorial requests
-Assist with trafficking press sample collection and department store advertising samples
-Help maintain all sample and request logs
-Coordinate messenger services and international shipments
-Assist in the maintenance of the showroom and upkeep of fashion closet
-Assist with tracking all editorial coverage and maintaining tear-sheet archive
-Create editorial coverage presentations

Marketing
-Work on events, assist with all needed preparation leading up to and on day of the event
-Direct Mail analysis and collection projects
-Update co-op / national advertising binder and PowerPoint presentations
-Maintain magazine and co-op book library updated with all current issues
-Assist on all marketing/communication initiatives as needed

Visual Merchandising

-Assist back of house during market week
