The Fashion showroom A SUPREME AGENT is looking for a few motivated and fun-loving interns. ASA is a footwear and accessory based sales showroom, also known as a “multi-line” showroom, located in New York City.
This internship will be beneficial for anyone looking to get into Fashion, Sales, or PR.
Mandatory skills:
* An eye for merchandising and styling
* Very organized
Duties:
* Visit stores to check on product and research new accounts
* Prepare for trade shows
* Attend Tradeshows, Coterie (http://enkshows.com/coterie), Project (www.projectshow.com), Compass (www.compassshow.com)
* Getting samples to and from press publications & photo shoots
* Blog maintenance (www.thebensimongirls.com)
* Help with setting up displays and revamping showroom every season.
* Packing samples for road trips
* Mailing out new product info to existing and prospective customers
* Other tasks as assigned
Candidate must be an excellent communicator, extremely organized, detail oriented, not afraid to sweat, and have strong customer service skills. Showroom/Retail experience a plus. Internship is for a varied amount of time at least 3 days per week for 6 months in New York City + stipend.
Your major does not have to be Fashion, but should be relevant to the aforementioned duties. (i.e. Integrative Arts, Marketing/PR, Communications, General Business, Graphic Design)

Anthropologie will provide the intern with an on-the-job learning experience that is appropriate to their degree and is in line with expectations of their school.

Vagadu is an innovative clothing line that draws inspiration from fine art to create one-of-a-kind fashion pieces with reclaimed fabrics. Intern will help assemble and have creative input on the design of the fall collection under the supervision of Artistic Director.
Responsibilities for Design Intern include but are not limited to: the practice of creating cutting patterns, draping garments, sewing & assembling clothing articles, creating accessories, mending and finishing garments.
Aside from the responsibilities mentioned above, Intern will make contact with design and arts organizations supporting the fashion industry, learn small business development strategies, with the possibility of co-producing a spring fashion show.
The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for assembling clothes, strong experience in fine sewing, enjoy hand sewing, interest in green fashion, and is seeking to gain exposure in the independent fashion/events industry while building one's resume profile.
