Vagadu is an innovative clothing line that draws inspiration from fine art to create one-of-a-kind fashion pieces with reclaimed fabrics. Intern will help assemble and have creative input on the design of the Fall 2010 collection under the supervision of Artistic Director.

Responsibilities for Design Intern include but are not limited to: flat patterning, draping, sewing & assembling clothing articles, hand sewing, creating accessories, mending and finishing garments. Note: All applicants MUST have experience working with fine fabrics.

Aside from the responsibilities mentioned above, Intern will make contact with design and arts organizations supporting the independent fashion industry, participate in upcoming shows and learn small business development strategies.

About the position:
As an intern in our San Francisco office, you will be an integral part of the conference team, assisting in both the day-to-day preparations for our events and also the long range marketing/promotions of the conferences. In addition to the specific responsibilities listed below, the intern is expected to assist in all aspects of staff support, administrative duties, and also to contribute to staff meetings and help prepare for Conference Marketing meetings. Administrative and Research:
Organize and categorize conference photography for use in promotional materials.
