PR Internship for SF Fashion Studio (San Francisco)

Scandinavian Fashion designer looking for an intern in the PR department.
We are a fun and fabulous start up designer studio. We have grown steadily for the past two years and we need to find a PR maven to keep up with the pace.
If you love being in the know about new products/magazines and want to be involved with the latest trends then this could be a great opportunity for you.
We are in the midst of introducing a blog incorporating our products with a new lifestyle approach (our products are all about luxury and comfort) and we would like to see the intern play a key role in writing for this blog. You can learn more about us at www.mettevangso.com.
So far we have received a good amount of PR. We have been featured in People and Glamour magazine to name a few and we are looking forward to the upcoming season of postings.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
-Blog writing/management
-Plan and implement media time-lines strategies
-Research and develop profile of target audience
-Research media opportunities
-Assist in the development, presentation and pitching of story ideas
-Communicate and build relationships with editors
-Weekly meetings to discuss progress/strategy
-Share responsibility for the overall quality and success of the PR
-Research and keep updated media lists
- email newsletter creative writing/ideas

Qualities needed:
-Fabulous writer, passionate about the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry, Intuitive, Creative, Hardworking, Self-Motivated, Fun Personality and Committed to doing a Great Job!

Skills Needed:
-Preferably major in Communication studies
-Excellent writing and communication skills
-Proficient in use of the computer, especially Word, Excel (knowledge of Photoshop would be a big plus)
-Know How to Research and Navigate the Internet
-Highly Organized
- not afraid of making phone calls or the idea of making cold calls
-Able to Multi-task and Prioritize
- blog writing knowledge a plus
- great people skills
