This internship, which will contribute to Waggener Edstrom’s Technology Practice, is a full-time, 90-day commitment that will be paid minimum wage based on a 40-hour work week. The preferred start date is June 1st; however, we can be flexible to accommodate the right candidate. We are a new retail shop with in-house designers. We are looking to host a party once a month with revolving art and music. We are looking for a bright, talented marketing intern to assist in the following duties:

-Help finding local music acts to play at promotional parties
-Help finding local artists to who project our company's image to hang artwork on walls
-Help creating a general hype or buzz about the space

This position is for an energetic, committed person with a specific interest in climate change solutions and community awareness/activism, and policy. Because this position will require extensive research, including online, over the phone, and sometimes face-to-face, a background in research and ability to really dig down deep is a prerequisite. This particular position, though taking place in New York where our offices are based, will principally be focused on solutions for the state of Pennsylvania, so if you are from the state of PA or are agnostic to where solutions occur, then this will be a good position for you.

I will be traveling for part of the summer, so intern will work collaboratively with my core team, but will at times need to work without direction. I’m all about someone bringing something extra cool and different to the table.

Approximate hours/week: Anywhere from 2 to 3 days a week (more than free to work from home as long as work is complete).

Qualifications:

- An interest in climate change, community solutions, policy and climate change communication
- An interest or passion for sustainability
- Great writing competency and communication skills
- Great research skills (i.e. library, trade reports, science journals; access to college resources is highly preferred)
