Experienced and respected New York City event coordinators are expanding their nightlife promotions/marketing/consulting organization and seek motivated, outgoing, and fresh-faced new members to join their team.

The responsibilities of the job are simple: Invite your friends and contacts to join you for partying in hip, high-end Manhattan venues. Duties include increasing the weekly turnout for events, assisting nightlife executives during their nightly routines at club events, and general hosting. This position is a fantastic way to build your contact base and you will be regularly networking with other young and ambitious New Yorkers in a relaxed environment and putting yourself in position to have a long and illustrious career in nightlife. The parties that are produced cater to the art, music, fashion, and hospitality industries, therefore if you are looking to advance your connections in one of these fields or simply have a good time with cool people, this could be the ideal job for you.

Our ideal candidate will already be a regular attendee of the popular and upscale clubs of Manhattan and bringing in with them a rolodex full of contacts within the city. Prior nightlife experience not required. Both full and part-time team members wanted.

Responsibilities of the job include: event planning, email marketing, promoter scouting and hiring, updating contacts, compilation of guest lists, database and web upkeep, doorperson work, and event management. In attendance at our weekly events, you will serve as a coordinator between management and promotional staff and, as a host, you will maintain overall positive atmosphere and smoothness of the night.

Shecky's Media Inc. Full Time In-House Marketing/PR (New York, SoHo)

Marketing Responsibilities Include:
- Research regional media partners

- Work press check-in table at NYC events
The position is full- time - our office hours are from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily.
There is an $800 a month stipend involved with this internship, in addition to college credit.

Qualifications: Strong interest in PR/Fashion/Journalism/Marketing/Events is a must. Experience with Bacon’s/Cision Media Source is preferred. Must have an excellent command of grammar, spelling, and style. Must be organized and pro-active. Able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Experience with Special Events/Media PR with editorial contacts a plus.

As a member of the Materials team, the Materials Analyst will be responsible for researching, development, and commercialization within a focused area of textile materials. You will be working with Materials Coordinators, RD&D teams, and Advanced Products to collaborate and execute on seasonal developments that bring new and innovative materials and constructions, identifying and developing new technologies in fibers, constructions, finishes, and sustainable practices for your given focus area. Specific areas of focus can include: Waterproof breathable, fleece and soft shells, technical knits, natural fibers, sustainable materials, and technical wovens. Some of your primary duties include:
• Researching and developing short to medium term textiles; both seasonal and annual developments using innovative materials, fibers, constructions, finishes, and processes.

• Developing technical material standards and ranges of acceptable performance including specific product usage guidelines.

• Communicating concepts and technical details internally with Product Management, Design, Development, Materials, and Laboratory.
• Communicating effectively with Mills, Suppliers, Factories, and VF Sourcing offices globally. Presenting seasonal trend analysis to internal teams.

Requirements
We are looking for an individual with a BA/BS Degree in Design (Apparel), Textile Science, Engineering, or related fields, a minimum of 2+ years apparel or textile experience plus 2 years minimum in related research or technical development are required. Knowledge of fiber and yarns, textile construction, dying and finishing, textile testing and evaluation and apparel manufacturing techniques, familiarity with material sourcing (lead times, minimums, capacity), product design/development, computer drafting, and research techniques, ability to manage projects from concept to commercialization and be accountable for the direction and execution. Knowledge of computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and Data management systems are necessary.
