Max Mara Public Relations Spring Internship 2012
Max Mara is an Italian brand that was established in 1951. Known for our camel coats and minimalistic Italian style.

Responsibilities:
-Work on special projects for fashion week
-Responsible for care of designer samples and organizing the fashion closet
-Coordinate messengers and courier services to ship within Manhattan and locations around the globe
-Assist in preparation for Communications meetings and presentations
-Read through daily, weekly, and monthly national and regional publications for editorial and advertising credits
-Keeping the master calendar and contact list regularly updated
-Assist with developing marketing and advertising plans
-Support Marketing Team with monthly events

Requirements:
-Must be available to work 3 to 5 full days a week (Monday-Friday)
-Undergraduate / Graduate with a 3.0 + GPA
-Magazine and / or fashion experience preferred
-School credit only

Essential is an your artistry, talent and "eye for design" in helping to create "top of the line" visual works and presentations for the most discriminating of tastes. Must be 100% confident in your ability to challenge the top Italian Design Houses in the world, including: Prada, Cavalli, Versace, Bvlgari, etc.

Creative Requirements:
• A current portfolio showing talent, artistry of items of or similar to jewelry, scarves, sunglasses, patterns, perfume bottles, etc.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Must be masterful in using products such as Adobe CS5 -- InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Must have interest in luxury, fashion, advertising and marketing
• Must have flexible design ability and willingness to learn

• General business skills and problem solving ability

The jewelry line is sold throughout stores in nyc, la, and overseas, and many more city's...with your help!

What I need is some general help with the following:
Trend/Shop Research
General Help assisting on sometimes weekly photoshoots
Tracking inventory and press/stylist loans
Updating the website and webstore (using photoshop and dreamweaver I can also teach you how to do this...)
Jewelry assembly (Right now I am swamped with fashion week work)
Office organization
Administering positive energy above all.

Skills needed: Responsible, Creative forward thinker. Basic hand sewing and glueing is necessary. Mac Users preferred .... Everything else i can teach you but you must be willing to learn.

Showroom Intern
 
ALTUZARRA is currently looking for an intern to support the office team, especially the PR department:
-schedule and deal with messengers plus international shipments
-phone answering
-packing and unpacking of samples
-manage the office supplies stock and place orders when necessary
-keep the collections showroom organized and properly arranged
-assist for special events and during NYFW (fashion show, market showroom post show)
-do pick up or drop off of clothing to fashion publications and stylists plus other errands for the office
-handle light administrative work as needed (data entries for sales team, expenses report entries...)
